Encino, CA (September 7, 2012) – ACM Lifting Lives® announced today that the September “My Cause” web feature will spotlight Hunter Hayes and the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. The web feature drives awareness of artist-supported charitable organizations and supports fundraising efforts for those philanthropies.
ACM Lifting Lives repeated the My Cause opportunity in 2012 by encouraging artists to speak on camera about their favorite charities at the 2012 ACM Awards. My Cause is a way for ACM Lifting Lives to tangibly demonstrate the Academy’s support of country music artists. Many people have been helped by these fantastic charities, and ACM Lifting Lives bolsters that support by increasing awareness and funding for these very deserving causes. Over the past two years, ACM Lifting Lives has donated more than $45,000.00 to artists’ favorite charities through this program, and will again make donations in addition to driving fan awareness.
This month, “My Cause: Child Hunger Ends Here” highlights the campaign that is part of ConAgra Foods’ ongoing efforts to end child hunger in the United States. There are more than 16 million children in the U.S. who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. To bring awareness to the issue, Hayes co-wrote an original song, “Here’s Hope,” which Little Big Town performed during a special moment on the 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The group has since recorded Hayes’ song in ongoing support of the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign. Donations can be made to the charity using a donate link available with the video.
