“MY CAUSE” WEB FEATURE THEME FOR SEPTEMBER IS “WOMEN & CHILDREN FIRST”

09/12/2011

WEB FEATURE AVAILABLE ON ACMLIFTINGLIVES.ORG STARTING TODAY

Encino, CA (September 12, 2011) – ACM Lifting Lives® announced today that the September theme for its monthly “My Cause” web feature is “Women & Children First.”  The web feature drives awareness of artist-supported charitable organizations and supports fundraising efforts for those philanthropies.

ACM Lifting Lives repeated the My Cause opportunity in 2011 by encouraging artists to speak on camera about their favorite charities at the 2011 ACM Awards.  My Cause is a way for ACM Lifting Lives to tangibly demonstrate the Academy’s support of country music artists.  Many people have been helped by these fantastic charities, and ACM Lifting Lives bolsters that support by increasing awareness and funding for these very deserving causes.  Last year, ACM Lifting Lives gave more than $25,000.00 to artists’ favorite charities through this program, and will again make donations in addition to driving fan awareness.

This month, “My Cause: Women & Children First” is highlighting organizations that seek to improve the lives of women and children through education and support.  Donations can be made to each charity using a donate link available with each video.  Below are the artists and causes included in the September “Women & Children First” feature.

September: “Women & Children First”

  • Steel Magnolia  – Sarah’s House

  • Thompson Square  – Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
