JOE NICHOLS TO HOST EVENING OF MUSICAL PERFORMANCES
RECOGNIZING SPECIAL HONOREES FROM
THE 46TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS
ENCINO, CA (August 9, 2011) – The Academy of Country Music is announcing that tickets go on sale to the public Friday, August 12 at 10:00 AM CT for the 5th Annual ACM HONORS, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. ACM Award winner JOE NICHOLS is slated to host the evening of musical tributes on Monday, September 19, 2011. The event will take place at the current ACM Venue of the Year, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium.
ACM A-List members can purchase tickets starting Wednesday at 10:00 AM CT with a special fans-only code. To sign up for the free ACM A-List visit www.acmcountry.com. Tickets are $37 and will be available Friday, August 12th at 10:00 AM CT via ryman.com, Ryman box office, Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
In addition to award presentations, the special evening will include video tributes and musical performances by an all-star lineup. Honorees expected to attend include John Dorris, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Tom T. Hall, Reba and Taylor Swift, along with winners of the MBI (Musician, Bandleader, Instrumentalist) and Industry categories, which are not presented during the live telecast of the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Artists scheduled to perform include: Bobby Bare, Larry Gatlin & the Gatlin Brothers, Jamey Johnson, Montgomery Gentry and Joe Nichols with special presentation by John Michael Montgomery and more to be announced soon.
