ACM Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country Engages
8.5 Million Viewers & Is Most-Watched Show of the Night

ACM Award Show Up +19% in Adults 18-34 and +3% in Adults 18-49 from Last Year,
Reaches 13.5 Million Viewers in Total

ENCINO, CA (April 25, 2011) – In spite of a Friday night timeslot during spring break, more than 8 million people tuned in to watch superstars of country music pay tribute to powerful female artists in ACM PRESENTS: GIRLS’ NIGHT OUT – SUPERSTAR WOMEN OF COUNTRY on the CBS Television Network.  The special, a benefit for ACM Lifting Lives®, aired Friday, April 22nd and reached 8.48 million viewers.

Combined with the viewership from the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, the Academy of Country Music reached an incredible 22 million television viewers in the month of April.

Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country was the most watched show of the night and highest rated in homes, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. The special earned a 5.2 rating and 9 share in households and ranked first in its time period in homes and viewers.  It was also first with adults 18-49 (1.6), adults 18-34 (1.1) and adults 25-54 (2.2).

The special placed first with men 18-49 (1.2-tie), women 18-49 (2.0), women 18-34 (1.4), men 25-54 (1.7) and women 25-54 (2.7). If the fast nationals hold, Girls’ Night Out: Superstar Women of Country would be the most watched show of the night and highest rated in homes, adults 18-49, women 18-49, adults 18-34, women 18-34, adults 25-54, men 25-54 and women 25-54.

Earlier this month, the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards also topped in all key measures, gaining 19% in adults 18-34 and 3% in adults 18-49, leading CBS to win the night, according to Nielsen live plus 7-day ratings for April 3.

From 8:00-11:00 PM, the ACM Awards was first in households (7.9/12), viewers (13.48m), adults 25-54 (4.4/10), adults 18-49 (3.5/09) and adults 18-34 (2.7/08).  Compared to last year's event (on April 18, 2011), CBS was up +19% in adults 18-34 (from 2.1/06), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.2/08), even in adults 25-54 and on par in viewers (from 13.02m).
