DUETS PAIR COUNTRY STARS WITH YOUTUBERS

LOS ANGELES, CA. (March 30, 2011) – For the second year, the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and dick clark productions (dcp) will be offering digital content in support of the “46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” airing Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.  The content will include a live stream of the televised GAC red carpet pre-show, the “Ram Red Carpet Live! @ The 2011 ACM Awards” pre-show and video-on-demand (VOD) content including “Duets” which pairs up-and-coming artists on YouTube with some of music’s biggest stars.

All LIVE content, powered by Livestream, will be available at http://www.livestream.com/acmawards, GACTV.com and AOL.com. Media outlets and consumer video websites interested in featuring the LIVE show can download the embeddable live players at www.livestream.com/acma/share.
 
All of the VOD content will be available at ACMCountry.com, VEVO, AOL.com, GACTV.com, CBS.com and the YouTube channels of the ACM and dcp, as well as other partner consumer video and media websites.
 
Both the LIVE and VOD content will also be available on the Academy of Country Music Facebook Fan Page as well as on the Facebook Fan Pages of participating country music artists.

The “Ram Red Carpet Live! @ The 2011 ACM Awards” live stream, begins at 6:15pm ET / 3:15pm PT on Sunday April 3rd leading up to the telecast and will feature the hosts, Walker Hayes, Jana Kramer and Stuart Brazell asking viewer questions submitted via Twitter (marked with #ACMAwards) to country’s biggest stars as they walk down the carpet. The extensive on-demand coverage will include behind the scenes segments including rehearsal interviews, fashion commentary, and exclusive backstage interviews the day of the event.

The “Duets” promotions for the “ACM Awards” paired country music stars with successful up-and-coming artists on YouTube for collaborations that highlight the connection between artist and fan. Featured artists include; Boyce Avenue with Luke Bryan, Mitch Rossell with Eric Church, Savannah Berry with Sugarland, and Tyler Ward with The Band Perry. The content is now available on YouTube, VEVO, CBS.com, and facebook.com/duetsmusic.

The ACM and dcp will also launch an iPhone App powered by FanTrail, which will allow fans to get exclusive audio messages from this year’s ACM artists through a feature named ‘LoveMail’. 

Sponsors of this year’s pre-show include RAM TRUCK, BULL’S-EYE BBQ Sauce, Wonderful® Pistachios and Crown Royal as well as Simon G. which will be hosting a Facebook-powered eBay auction during the pre-show. Viewers can bid live on a ring that will be worn and featured by one of the pre-show hosts during the live stream.
